Immanuel Kant – Critique of Pure Reason

Sometimes called the ‘Matterhorn of Philosophy’, Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason is one of the true classics that no student of philosophy should miss. However, in the midst of course schedules and paper deadlines, there is often not enough time to study the seminal work with all the care and diligence it deserves – which is why Kant’s first Critique far too often ends up being one of the books that one praises, but never closely reads. We want to change that. A small group of committed students will meet on January 3rd / 4th 2010 at Reichenberg Castle (close to Würzburg) for an informal reading group that will mostly focus on the ‘Transcendental Logic’, especially the chapter on the ‘Transcendental Deduction’ therein.
